While it is our intent to honor every veteran that we can with an Honor Flight, we are limited in our capacity to meet the needs. We are please to witness the opening of the new Desert Shield and Desert Storm Memorial in Washington, D.C, and the broader Honor Flight Network’s expansion of eligibility to those who have served through July 31, 1991.

Unfortunately, the waiting list of Alaska veterans wanting to participate in one of Last Frontier Honor Flight’s missions is substantial and currently prevents LFHF from accepting applications from those who began their service after May 7, 1975. The exception, of course, is that terminally ill veterans from any service era are given the absolute highest priority.
